What I Learned in the Third Quarter of English 9/10
During the third quarter in Ms. Priester’s I have learned many things. I learned that symbolism is something that stands for both itself and something beyond itself. Also that allegory involves stories that characters and places stand for something beyond themselves usually virtues and vices. Another thing is that figurative language is a word or phase that describes one thing in terms of another and is not meant to be understood a literal real level. A primary source is an original, firsthand account of an event. Furthermore imagery is language that appeals to the five senses purpose of imagery. Secondary source is written by a writer who did not participate directly in the events.
