First day of testing I wasn’t all that scared to take it. First we took the English test. I think the CST testing wasn’t all that hard, as our schoolteachers say it was. Actually, everyone has been stressing out about it. During the CST I just read all the questions and answers carefully and actually put my effort into it. Unlike these kids on campus, all they were saying is that they guessed and then went to sleep. I guess that’s why our school thinks were are “dumb” because of our low-test scores. If people actually tried our school would noticed that we are “smart.” The next day we had math. The math was easy at first but then a little tricky towards the end. I think I did an ok job. Either way testing wasn’t hard. I kind of liked it.

Testing Tips, Strategies, and Plays Reflection
When you take a test you are pretty much just showing your teacher or whoever, how much you have learned by demonstrating your ability to understand the things they have been teaching you. In order to help you on a test you have to be comfortable with the location of space, so that you are relaxed. Also, you obviously have to read the directions carefully because if not then how are you going to know what your test is about. Furthermore, when you have finished each problem, reread it just to make sure your answer is complete and somewhat right. In addition to, if you do not know the answer to a question, skip it and go back to that question later..

My Feelings about the Upcoming CST.
I don't feel really happy about taking the CST. To me I find it hard because I have really bad memory so therefore there is going to be some questions from the beginning of the year and I probably won't even know them. That pretty much means that I have to study hard for the CST. Also, when we take the CST it usually takes up the whole week, which is horrible. Everyone usually stresses about taking it, I’m not stressing but I am nervous about it. If I don’t do well then I’m pretty much screwed. One good thing about it that is that when I usually guess it’s always the wrong answer so guessing is out of the picture.
My UnGoogleable Research for an Eight-Year Old
My focus question is "how did Audrey Hepburn make fashion popular."My three similar questions are: "did anyone help her reach her success." and another on is "how did she influence the world." I think it’s important to know this information because to me I'm really into fashion from the old days. Also, it can define who you are by the way you dress. People say that fashion isn't important because its impossible to get away from. Also, its really one of those things that start as a hobby then turned into a job etc. etc. and now it controls everything.

Free Choice Blog Post.
I had the greatest day today. On my way to court Jen (the staff) and I were talking about my "husband" Kid Cudi♥. I was talking to her about how I really really want to see him live at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on June 20. She was telling me that I should tell my social worker about going. Later that day Jen saw my social worker while I was at school and told her about this amazing concert. I was expecting her to say no because she is really strict like that. Luckily, she said YES as long as I have a staff that is willing to go and watch over me. Also, I have to somehow raise half of the money, which is easy. I’m so excited because I grew up in downtown LA and it just makes feel so great because I get to be in my hometown and I get to see my husband!

UnGoogleable Research Paper Highlight Reflection
Reading and highlighting the sources for my UnGoogleable research paper didn’t help me because while using awesome highlighter some of my websites that I used wouldn't work. One thing that I did learn was to skim through my websites so that I can highlight the important parts. I can break my information into three sections. One section that if anyone helped her choose her outfits. Another one is if she likes to be a fashion icon. Lastly, is if she liked dressing up. My next step to write a research paper should be to sort out all the information and put it in order.

UnGoogleable Research Paper Website Selection Reflection
Today in class I looked up diverse websites that could help me to get ready for my research paper. To search for websites, I used Qwiki, Sweet Search, True Knowledge, Hakia, World book, iSEEK, and Google wonder wheel. When I found a website related to my focus question, I got really excited because it could help me understand my focus question a lot better. I knew some of the websites I found were unacceptable because they showed many pop up ads, and I could tell that it was written poorly. I know the websites I selected are good because it was exactly what I needed to answer my focus question. Tomorrow, I expect that Ms. Priester will tell me to write a brainstorming chart, or outline.
Third Quarter Awards Review
The awards assembly on Friday was upsetting. Everyone had to go to the auditorium to get there awards for third quarter. Teachers, social workers and the friends of San Pasqual were all there to support those kids who had outstanding grades or that have improved. I felt that I deserved an award. Yes I know that second quarter I had horrible grades but third quarter I had excellent grades. I raised up most of my grade to a C. To me that a drastic change to go form an F to a C. To me that seems like I had improved alot. Then again there are alot of kids who probally did much more better than I did. Nesxt awards assembly I will try to get a 3.0 or higher. I'm already doing everything I can for fourth quarter so hopefully I will reach my goal.

UnGoogleable Research – What I Already Know
My focus question is "How did Audrey Hepburn make fashion popular?" I already know that ballet flats, capri pants, and little black dresses with white gloves were very popular because she brought in style back in the 1940-50's. Also, "The Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund" was founded after her death to carry on the things she believed in. She had a husband, Mel Ferrer after 14 years of marriage they divorced. She had a son named Sean. Furthermore, she was honored with a U.S postage stamp. Also, she wasn’t all that good at singing she sang “Moon River” in the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” By doing more research I hope to learn more about are her quotes. -“People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed.”

UnGoogleable Research Paper – Website Evaluation Tips.
“You can tell if it good by the way it’s used and if they post good reviews.” –Emilia
“Using anything with .org and gov. anything that has references.”-Caroline
“It has lots of spam and the way its design cheaply.” -Brook
The advice that these people have given me is useful because it helps me figure out good info from bad info. Also to compare wether the material is good by being similar to my other sources. The website can as well give additional recourses such as books, newspaper articles, etc.

Fourth Quarter Kickoff Reflection.
I did not attend the Fourth Quarter Kickoff, because I felt as if it was a big waste of time. Therefore I'll talk about how a quote has affected the way I think about getting even with someone. “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”-Gandhi. Hearing this I didn’t care that much about what it meant. I was focus on being right because I thought I was. Afterwords, I was thinking about what it was supposed to mean. Basically, it means that you shouldn't get somebody back for something they did wrong to you because in the long run, everyone is going suffer. I figured out that just forgiving is the only I can get even.
